Bush-Hogging - Keeping pastures bush-hogged is essential for those landowners who are unable to manage grasses with grazing. In-between the busy calving times of early spring and fall and the haying we do as weather provides, we are available to provide custom bush hogging.
Fencing - Whether high tensile perimeter fencing, woven wire, interior cross fencing, or board fence, and whether electrified or not, we can assist you with paddock layout, fence design and installation.
Poultry Litter Application - Poultry litter is an excellent source of nitrogen and other nutrients. The state land management and soil conservation agencies also periodically provide cost-sharing incentives. We can assist you with taking soil samples, developing a nutrient management plan, and working with government agencies to secure available cost-sharing funds. We can also assist you with locating clean poultry litter sources in the Shenandoah River Valley, having it hauled to your farm, and spreading it at the appropriate rate.
Select-Cut Timbering - As with our forests, we can walk your timber with you and mark trees for careful select cutting. We can timber the marked trees and skid them out of the forest without damaging surrounding timber or pastures. We assist with arranging multiple bidders to come view the felled timber and quote on your logs.
Seeding - Whether frost seeding clovers or drilling perennial grasses, we can provide this service to landowners lacking the equipment or time.
